Were doing infused olive oil, with rosemary, basil, and garlic. Olive oil in large quantities at costco or sams club is cheap, and the bottles are about $1 each http://www.oliveoilsource.com/cgi-bin/glass_display.asp
References :
fall themed chocolates-
get a candy mold from Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc ($1.50)
find some that are leaves, pumpkins, or other "fall" shapes
buy bags of colored white chocolate from Hobby Lobby ($2.25)
if they don't have orange/red/yellow, you can get white and use food coloring to make whatever color.
Get the squeeze bottles recommended (in the same area as the molds, $1.25)
follow the directions that come with the mold. It's very easy. You can make about 25-30 pieces at once (depends on the mold) freeze them for 10 min. They pop right out.
wrap them in tulle bags or small boxes tied with a ribbon.
References :
I think the ideas for cookies and candy apples are good. You could also do nuts- Jordan almonds are traditionally good luck for weddings. They are almonds wrapped in a candy coating. You could package them in little boxes, tins or satchels.
References :
all of the answers about cookies and apples sound wonderful, don't get me wrong. the only problem with gifts like those are that you have to make them right before the wedding and you won't want to do that, especially if you have to make a lot. if you have someone to help you or do it for you, then maybe..i like the molasses cookie idea. once for christmas i made ginger cookies and tied them in goodie bags with the recipe tied to the ribbon. you could tie a card with your names and date on the front and on the inside have something corny like a 'recipe for a happy marriage or love' and also have the recipe for the cookies.

i used candy kisses with personalized labels on the bottoms for our gifts. we got very cheap favor boxes online at walmart.com and put them together ourselves. kisses last much longer, so we could make them ahead of time. during the fall hersheys makes kisses with colored foils...orange, brown, etc. just a thought!

good luck
References :
I'm also having a fall wedding. I guess my answer would depend on how many people you are planning on having and what your budget is for favors. My fiance and I decided to do something easy and cheap (tulle circles with candy wrapped and tied with a ribbon and maybe some fall foliage). We have a lot of people coming and couldn't afford to do something like candied apples (although that is a great idea for a smaller wedding or a bigger budget).
References :
How about a candy buffet?

They're easy to do, easy to stock, and relatively cheap if you look in the right places.

For containers to hold the candy, you can get some amazing finds at dollar stores, thrift stores, outlets, and sales. The containers I'm getting for our candy buffet are about $1.00 each!

For boxes or little bags for your guests to fill themselves, you can check a dollar store. I'm getting these adorable little mesh bags my guests can fill with their choice of candy. It's 10 in a bag for $1.00!

As for the candy, head to any bulk store. I'm going to the Bulk Barn where they have 400 different types of candy!

Here's a few ideas I looked at for how I'm going to set up our candy buffet...(except we're not following a color scheme, we'll just be picking our favorites, and more popular types of candies).
