Where do i put Wedding party favors?

I am have an Oct 25 wedding. I want to do mints for my wedding favors. Where do I put them at reception? at the tables? I am not having a sit down dinner, more of a buffet. So not every table is set for everyone. ALso, what are some good ideas for fall flowers? My colors are gray, champagne and blue.

I would still put them on the tables. Place them on each table, as many as that table seats, maybe around the centerpiece or something. I say this becasue I also had a buffet reception, and chose to place my favors on a table near the entrance/exit (near the gift table) and I think people either did not realize what they were or just forgot to take one on their way out, because we had a TON left over. Five years later I still have then in my closet because I cannot bear to throw them away (sentimental, I guess) So now I think if they are on the table when people sit down, even if it is not assigned seating, they will be more likely to put them in their purse or whatever, as they are more visible to everyone.

Buy some pretty baskets from Michaels (or another arts & crafts store) and put the favors in them, place them on a table near the exit with a cute note on the front of the basket telling guests this is a small token to thank you & how happy you are they could spend the day with you…

As far as flower, what kind of blue? I mean I would probably stick with cream or white flowers, roses because you alreayd hae so many other colors going on.

put them at each place setting on teh tables. I went to a buffet wedding reception in may and helped decorate beforehand and the bride had me put the favors in front of each seat at each of the tables. that way even though you’re not assigning people to tables, everyone will get a favor when they sit down to eat.

Pile them in small clear bowls/baskets along the center lines of the tables. That way people will see them and they can add to the decor (as long as the wrapper matches the table arrangements). If the tables are round, shower them gently around the table arrangements.

I’d say either on the table near the center or at each seat - even if not all places are being set. If you put them by the door either some will take way more than they should and feelings will be hurt because someone did not get one, or they won’t be noticed and you’ll have leftovers.

    Congrats & best wishes.

A great idea for your favors is to set up a table near the entrance and make a place card for each guest with the favor attached. That way everyone has one with their name on it.

For flowers I’m partial to tiger lilies. They come in a variety of colors and are wild yet elegant. Fuji mums and regular mums are great for fall also.

I have seen brides put their party favors on the tables settings before. If you want to draw your guests to the favors then I would say ask your reception site for another 8-10′ round table and place your favors on the table. As far as you flowers go, I am not sure of you location, but here in California there are blue hydrangeas. Gorgeous plentiful flowers and they come in numerous shades of blue. Add some cream roses and go to Michael’s a look for these champagne colored balls on wires and put those in with the bouquets. It depends on what shade of grey you are using but you can use gray satin to hand tie your bouquets.Good Luck!
