The groom's mom is making great favors for the bridal shower. Each favor will have a little tag on it that says a little verse about love, the names of the bride and groom, and the date.
But should the date be the date of the shower (the occassion where they get these favors) or the date of the wedding (the reason we're having a shower)?
Indicate what the date is then use what you want

it should have the date of the occasion that is being held… so the date of the shower..

I would say the date of the shower. My mom is also going to make tags and they are going to say
"Jackie's Bridal Shower" and the date of the shower… if it's a co-ed shower then it should have your future hubby's name as well. You may want to suggest that she put the verse about love on one side and your names and shower date on the other. If she wants to keep it all on one side then I'd put your names and leave the date off

The favors at the shower should say "Mary's Bridal Shower 2/19/2008" or something similar.
They actually rarely have the groom's name on them. The groom's name should be included on the favors at the wedding.
