I think it would be good, unique, very good 2 eat. Maybe in an ivory or black to match the bride and groom.
References :
ME AND ME

This is a fun, nostalgic choice for a whimsical wedding or one with a homey feel. Rock candy just looks gorgeous, and you can tuck it in a napkin, display it centerpiece-style in a galvanized bucket (like candy apples) or just place it on a plate. You can alternate colors/flavors in your wedding colors to add a little variety to your tables. And even if some of your guests don't love rock candy, they probably know a kid who would be thrilled to take possession of it.
References :
Yes!
1. Its inexpensive.
2. Guests dont really care about wedding favors.
3. Most guests dont want junk like picture frames or mugs.
4. Its been a looooong time since I had rock candy. Would be a fun surprise.
References :
I love it! It's pretty, cute and unique. Plus, your guests can actually use it! I agree with others about getting it to match your wedding colors as long as those flavors are fairly likely to be enjoyed by the guests. But it doesn't mater what we like. It's your wedding. What do you like? I will add one word of caution that I DO think is important to consider however- do you have any diabetic guests? If so, you'll need to get them a different party favor. I don't plan to get married, but if I did, I would love this idea. In fact, it's one of the top two I've ever heard of in my book. The other one was something I considered when I thought I might marry someday (donating in guests name to St. Jude). The only prob. with rock candy in my case is the fact that I have at one aunt who is diabetic and one cousin on the verge of diabetes (so he has to eat like a diabetic to make sure he doesn't get diabetes) that would be attending if they were alive and I was getting married.

Maybe you could get the rock candy, but also get something else for guests you know are diabetic, as well as a couple extras of this type of favor, in case someone is diabetic and you didn't know.
References :
YES! Your theme can be; you two are solid as a rock! I would get pieces of the rock candy and put it a colored bag(your wedding color) and maybe a tag saying thank you for sharing in our special day

Good Luck!
References :
That's different! You could get the small rock kind in your wedding colors and pour them randomly into a clear candy jar (with a tight fitting lid) and maybe have your initials or names with the wedding date engraved on the glass. It really does sound nice. I just keep getting heart-shaped wine stoppers lately (is it a trend or something?). And I don't even drink wine.
References :
I love the idea. It's simple and unique. You can have your names written on it or a simple design of your choice. People will love it!
References :
Of Course it can be used. As long as you make it look cute enough and tie it into your theme or color scheme it would be perfect.

IDEA: Tie two Crystal sticks together with Personalized Ribbon for a unique and classy favor.

There is a pic of one wrapped and tied with a ribbon on this site but I'm sure you could thing of something alot cuter than this.

I really would say no because it doesn't really seem like a classy thing to do. Although it is different, it makes one seem very cheap. I would play it safe with some nice chocolates which are very classic and classy as well. Ultimately, though, if you love the idea of rocky candy as a wedding favor, go for it. If you are just looking for an opinion on whether or not to do it, i'd say don't do it.

Hope I helped :)
References :
I never thought about it -- But you could get it in your wedding colors -- I would get the "loose" pieces, not the stix, though -- just easier to eat!!!
It's sweet, old fashioned, and different!
