I don’t know your reasoning for using parachute men in particular, but if it’s in support of our armed forces, I think a donation to one of the armed forces charities (like the Disabled Veterans of America) is a better idea. People usually see favors as junk collectibles anyway, and rather than waste your money, a donation might be a better option.

It’s cute but I would probably leave mine on the table at the reception and not bother taking it home. In order to see the personalization, people are going to have to throw them around; are you going to encourage that or merely tolerate it? How many kids will be there that will be throwing them around for the duration of the party?

Honestly it sounds like a favor for a little boy’s birthday party, but if that is the sort of tone you are setting for your reception then I say go for it!

Is this a favor for the kids? If it’s for the adults, I wouldn’t do it because it’s just too juvenile. We did a cookbook with recipes that our guests provided us. We made it ourselves using power point and word. It was really easy. We then just used a hole punch designed for spiral binding and put a spiral binder on it. It was very well received.

I really think this is pointless and a complete waste of money. Like one of the other respondents said, they will throw them in the bin before they leave the event, especially as these things break as soon as you touch them usually anyway. A better favour would be a "lucky dip" lottery ticket each. That way you might just give someone some luck whilst they are wishing you all the best.

I think that is cute, if you can work it into a theme. Another thing I liked at a wedding was they made pens that were personalized. I know it sounds a little like going to a job fair, but it was fun because you actually can use pens, and then think about the couple. I liked that too. Most favors are geared toward women (candled, soaps, etc) so I kind of like the idea of the toys.
