Who gets a party favor for attending the wedding?

We are giving out the standard picture frames. But do I give one per guest and date, one per family, or one per couple? HELP!!!! I need to know if I need to order more.

I am single and I often go to the weddings of relatives and close friends without a date. I feel good not burdening them with feeding a casual date, and when I know a lot of the other guests I don’t need a date for a crutch.
As to your favors, I’m wondering why you must give them. I don’t care what % of a picture frame/ candy dish/ personalized goblet I’m entitled to, but if that thing goes home with me, it will be at the Goodwill store tomorrow.
I think you should give favors to the young people who might enjoy having them, and not to the rest of us.

If you are doing favors, it is usually a favor per place setting. I have never seen a favor per couple.

Why do brides worry about whether to have money trees, cash bars, etc., and then spend their limited funds on "favors"??

One per place setting at the reception. You do realize you can invite people to the ceremony, but only invite a few to the reception? It helps people with a big list of aquaintances who should be invited to the wedding, but allows you to make the reception more personal.

You can do it the other way around as well.

A picture frame sounds to me more like a party GIFT to be given to the bridal party members/ushers.

A party FAVOR goes more towards a small "trinket" type of gift as a rememberance, of which ONE is placed at each place setting at all the tables. These favors are things such as matchbooks with the bridal couple’s names/date on it. Even "candy coated almonds" wrapped in tulle and a bow are FAVORS.

    Have a polite day.
