Personalized Mountain Dew bottles for wedding favors?

My fiancee suggested that since we are both big lovers of Mountain Dew, we give away personalized little bottles of it as favors. It’s common around here to give away personalized bottles of wine, but we don’t drink, so it wouldn’t be us. Do companies make things like this or would we have to create our own labels? What do you think of the idea? I know that at our head table, we are going to set out (decorated) chests of ice filled with different varities of Mountain Dew for the wedding party to drink.

i love the idea. I might be alittle bias because i love mountain dew. you’ll have to do your own labels. Like the ones people use for the bottled water. You could do them yourselves or have somebody do them for you. I’m not that crafty on labels so i went on ebay and had somebody do them for me for my hershey’s kisses that i’m giving as favors. I think your gues will love that it’s a favor that you know people will use (drink) and not go to waste. good luck and congratulations.

even though you don’t drink, you might still serve alcohol for those guests that do drink. but, personalized bottles of mountain dew sounds very creative, as a symbol of what you and your beau drink. It sounds like a nice idea. But do consider alcohol for your guests. Why, I only have a pink squirrel once in a while, like on new years eve now and then, but we will have a bar at our wedding.

ew i so don’t like mt dew.
but if it’s what you want to give your guests… be prepared for many to be left on the tables.

    you can print your own.

or i can give you the info on the lady who made my invites… she makes labels for candy bars etc and can probly make them for soda bottles

I think you’ll have to make your own labels, but the idea is cute. Maybe do lots of different sodas though, not just Mountain Dew. Not everylike likes it.

I don’t know if I would use Mountain Dew. Not only may people not like the taste, maybe they don’t drink soda in general. You could use bottled water or fruit juices. Also you can buy printing labels at office supply stores or Walmart.

I like the idea! You would probably have to make the labels on your own. I would just do a variety though like caffeine free (love MD but can’t have caffeine) and diet as well as regular.

I guess youre talking about plastic bottles of Mt Dew. I dont like that idea, I mean, its a plastic bottle. Besides, if you already have the drink available at the reception, why would they want to take it home?
If it was a glass bottle that looks a little vintage and cool, would be a fun surprise for the guests. Or the personalized candy wrappers are cute I think.
You can get anyone who uses Illustrator to make the labels, then print them out yourself.

Sounds like kind of a hillbilly idea to me. Are you from Arkansas by chance? Or the Ozarks?

I just showed my husband of 7 years your question, and he says, "That you will have to make your own labels. But your best bet would be to call the make of Mt. Dew to find out for sure. "

    good luck to you. :)

My grandfather worked for the Pepsi company most of his adult life until retiring =] Google "personalized drinks" or "personalized food" and you may come up with something. I think it’s a great idea, and have seen people do things with personalized Hershey bars, etc. They should have something to do with soda. The closest things I’ve seen to personalized soda would be at http://www.partysoda.com, but they don’t have name brand as far as I’m aware. If all else fails, the previous answer’s idea of personalized labels might work.
This company makes specialized labels tobe applied on Mountain Dew and other drink bottles, so if you bought the soda and the labels you would have the desired affect: http://doreenscreations.com/category129.ihtml
