can someone please tell me what type of machine is used to print personalized ribbons (wedding favors)?

i want to learn how to print my own ribbons instead of paying these high prices at party shops

I believe they are silk-screened, and it’s a specialized kind of rolling screen. Definitely not something that will be cost-effective to buy once to print ribbons unless you plan on printing miles of your own.

Instead of going to retail party shops, seach online for gift packaing, retail supply, gift supplies, custom ribbons, etc. Or check out some of the following sites:

www.macpaper.com
www.papermart.com
www.usbox.com

They carry a lot of gift and packaging supplies and might have better prices available than if you go to a place like Party City.

It is a silk screening process. We have purchased the equipment to do these ribbons ourselves and we can tell you from experience, it is not worth it for you to try to buy the equipment to print your own to save a few dollars.

We did not break even on ours until after we had printed over 10,000 of them.
