We are both mental health therapists and we both work full time. I am also in graduate school. we both like to read. we both love music. We are giving cds as favors at the actual wedding but i need a less expensive idea that is still nice for our picnic a month later with many more guests…. I am up for any ideas at all
Since you both love to read, how about bookmarks? You could make them yourselves and have them laminated. You could have a handful of different designs - maybe quotes about love or relationships from famous therapists (Freud? Jung?) and/or musicians.

Stick with the cd’s.
You can get jewel cases at office supply places (Staples, Office Depot) for pennies a piece if you get a big mega pack of them, and the blank cd’s themselves aren’t a lot more. I just looked it up and you can make 100 cd’s for just under $100 for the jewel cases and blank cd’s at Staples.
If you need something less expensive than that, I’m not sure what you could do that really reflects who you are for $1 per favor … trying to think of something …

Find something that goes along with your wedding theme. I am having a daisy themed wedding. For my favors I am going to have mini packs of daisy seeds. You can have them personalized, and they are VERY inexpensive. I’m ordering about 100 packs, and they are 50 cents each. The more you order, the cheaper they are per pack. Just google it. There are tons of websites and stores where you can get them.

I like Heather’s seed idea. Go to botanical paperworks. They sell favors made from paper with the seeds inside. They come with instructions on how to plant the paper.

They have one that is a cute white metal bucket with flower shaped plantable paper that can be personalized. 100 for $138.
