Getting married on tight budget…need cheap wedding favors!?

Hi! I’m getting married and we don’t have much money to spend. We’d like to give out nice favors but we have 200 guests and not much money to spare! I found some tulle circles for a good price on ebay, but I have nothing to actually put in the circles! =) Can anyone recommend a website with cheap favors, that ships to Canada for a reasonable price? Thanks so much!!

I also have 200 guests. I bought some really pretty favor boxes from target. You can get 75 boxes for $20. They look really elegant. www.hometowncandy.com sells cheap bulk candies. We are getting the chocolate covered coffee beans. I suggest edible favors because people love to eat. Other favors tend to be clever but they are taken home and stashed away in a drawer full of random pens and stuff and rarely used. Edibles are cheap and everyone loves them. Good luck!!

The cheapest favor is go to the fabric store and cut the tulle yourself. Put in a few candies like Hersheys kisses, and tie with a little ribbon.
But honestly, favors are so unnecessary and no one will miss them. If that money could be better spent on the food & drink, do it– its what the guests really care about, not some tulle and ribbon which will be in the trash can the next morning.

I agree with the edible stuff- everyone usually likes this whereas things like bookmarks tend to get left behind!
Why not buy some heart-shaped chocolates and give each guest 3 chocolates inside the circles. Or even just some Hershey’s kisses or something similar.

I also have a tight budget. We donated to the breast cancer society and on each table we are going to put a card saying in Lieu of favors a donatin was made in our guests honor. It can be of any dinomination. I have been to so many weddings where favors are left behind. we’re just putting little mints on each table next to the cards which cost no more then $10
    congrats!

try orieantal trading post…lots of cheap favors in there…otherwise you could always make some yourself. Perhaps some homemade cookies and a nice card?

How about Chocolate covered almonds. Use m&ms because Jordans are really hard and cost more, I was gonna print this and ran out of time but thought it was cool.

I would skip the favors completely. OUt of every wedding I’ve ever been to I can’t tell you one favor I’ve ever received. Save your money for the food, that’s what people really care about.

They have bulk candy sites online, I don’t know if they ship to Canada or not, but if they ship to NY, they probably ship to Canada too. If I were you, I’d just go to the cheapest store around, here in America its the Dollar Tree, or Dollar General (Dollar Store) and I’d get bulk packages of candy. Also, K-Mart and Walmart sell them too in huge bags.

Sometimes people don’t do favors, they put confetti in them for throwing. I have to agree with the person who said don’t even bother if it stresses your budget out, nobody will miss them. I didn’t have favors at my wedding.

If money is tight, favors are a great place to save money! Skip the favors altogether. They really are a waste most times, and you’ll see, 1/2 your guests will leave them behind when the evening’s over. My cousin spent all kinds of time making chocolates and it was such a shame to see them laying all over when the wedding was done.

For under $200 you can go to http://www.mygc.com/susanscandlescentsations and order 7-8 boxes of tealights. My friend did this and put a tealight in the tulle, tied it with matching ribbon(wedding colors) and set this on everyone’ s seat. She used QUIET MOMENTS,SENSUAL, AND LOVE STRUCK.
    The room smelled FABULOUS.
