debating now between carmel apple suckers or carmel corn for a wedding favor..i want it to be fall "oriented"….
I would do caramel apples - you can do them yourself a few days ahead of time or you can check with local candy shops like Kilwins.
Here are some pictures:

YUMMM!

I would stay away from suckers…that just doesn’t seem maritial. Go with the carmel corn or just regular carmel apples…yum.

Only go with the suckers if you provide a 30% off coupon for the nearest dentist. With all the different kinds of "candy corn" you can probably do a mixture of them for a little variety

the corn might be cute…not everyone likes a sucker (haha - sorry had to go there) but really, popcorn is more universally liked I think. I think it would give the air of fall fair…I love it

My wedding was Sept 23 and we had a harvest themed wedding. We had a mix made up of candy corn, those little pumpkin shaped candies, and Jelly Belly Jelly beans in fall colors. The guests raved about it. Unless you wnat a bunch of pictures of your guests with sucker sticks sticking out of their mouths, I wouldn’t do suckers…plus, what is the impression of a ’sucker’ at a wedding?
References :
Candy apple, put it a nice plastic wrapper (not saran wrap, you know what I mean?) and a nice ribbon or twine. But dont call it a "sucker"! lol

What do you think of caramel apples? Not to change the subject or your plans or anything, but apples are a very autumn fruit and the caramel dipping would look great as a color combination. Congrats!

Either would be awesome. And what a nice touch. The only reason I’m responding is to let you know that I think your ideas are so creative. How fun!!!

Caramel corn is much easier to "dress up" than apple suckers. You could put it in a cellophane bag and tie with ribbon that coordinates with your wedding colors.

What about candy corn? You could get candy corn and candy corn pumpkins. Caramel corn sticks in a lot of peoples’ teeth, and suckers, well, that’s a REALLY bad idea for a wedding, y’know. And caramel apples are too fussy - you will regret the stickiness and the mess if you go with those, as some have suggested.

I particulary hare carmel corn, It just seems unsanitary and invonvinient.
I would go to the caramel suckers (or caramel apples, it would be si cute).
Good luck

Carmel corn will be cost effective and almost everybody loves it. I love fall theme weddings. I did a wedding last year where we carved out pumpkins and used them as vases for centerpieces.
