We are having a wedding. I (the groom) am 24 and my bride is 23. About 50% of the people we are inviting are our age, and the other half are family friends. Just wondering if it looks bad to give out shot glasses as a wedding favor. I know all the younger people will like them, and about I imagine some of the older people will to, but just wondering if it looks bad
It’s your wedding do what you want. I went to a wedding where they personalized shot glasses. Instead of the champagne toast we had tequila shots. I thought it was fun, besides A lot of people don’t like to Champagne.

if it reflects a part of you and the bride then who cares what other people think. this is your day with the love of your life. if you want to give out shot glasses then do it! not very many people have personalized shot glasses! you could look into wine glasses if you are looking for something more fancy.

They are fine, but get them personalized with your guest’s names so they’ll wanna keep them.

I suppose it depends on your crowd. If they are people who think taking shots is fun and acceptable and a way of life, I guess it’s okay. But what about your grandmother, your mom and those who DON’T drink? It seems like a very juvenile, frat-party-ish favor to me. Then again, I don’t drink, don’t promote it and would never give a shot glass as a gift to anyone beside the shot glass collector.
Good luck!

It won’t look bad if you get a classy writing on them and get them in an elegant shape.

I don’t think its bad, but no, it isn’t classy.

Who actually uses those things? I don’t think it’s not classy as much as just a useless item. Go with something edible.

It doesn’t look bad, but it’s not exactly "classy" as your question asked. But if that’s what you want to do, go for it. I doubt people will be offended.

No it isn’t classy and I suggest you don’t do it only because my fiances cousin did it and no one uses them. I kept mine for about 6 months and eventually threw them out. We have over 100 shot glasses and I know all his other cousins threw theirs out too. Also they had so many left over cause people just left them there. If you know your crowd then go for it but if they are like his family you won’t want to.

I would recommend the shot glasses for the under 30 crown and get something more traditional for the older crowd.
