Wedding Favor Help!?

I am doing Favor boxes with favor candies inside for our wedding
Our colours are Black/White and a little bit of Lavender
I think I am going to do White 2 peice boxes with a thick llllavender coloured ribbon and a thin white coloured ribbon
or Black 2 peice boxes with the same ribbon or vice versa..
and a little square gem glued in the centre on top for elegance.

How can I feature our names and date in the favors?
I thought about using personalized ribbon but then I cant use the gems???
Any ideas would be grateful!
Please porvide pics and links where possible!

perhaps u can put the names & dates on the inside lid of the boxes so that when they open them they can c the names & dates. that way u can still use the gems

i ordered little bags with our names on them from this place and they turned out very nice for a reasonable price.

No offense, but unless you’re only inviting 20 people, that sounds like an awful lot of work for favor boxes that most people will just eat the candy from and then throw away. The gems sound cute, but you could probably do without them and the favors would still be beautiful. Same goes for the dual ribbons. You could do black boxes with lavender ribbon for the guys and white boxes with lavender ribbon for the girls, or just alternate them every other seat at the table if you don’t assign seating. If you’re set on using the gems, I like the first poster’s idea about having it under the lid. Print your name/date in a pretty font on nice lavender-colored cardstock and cut them in a fancy shape (you can get shape punches at scrapbook stores) and then glue/double-sided tape them inside. With the gems, be sure you glue them really well (try Aleene’s tacky glue- dries fast and clear), because your favors will look cheap if the gems are falling off. If you don’t do the gems, you can print your name/date and make tags, and then glue them on top of the lavender ribbon.

wow, I hope you’re having a small wedding because that sounds like a helluva lotta work. I would do black boxes with lavendar ribbon, forget the white boxes or white ribbon. why can’t you do gems if you get personalized ribbon? I think you can do both

how about a personalized gift tag or label in white with lavender background and black print? There are some really nice ones at Sophies Favors at:
