I would like to have some type of edible wedding party favors for my reception. I get married this fall in Ohio, so keeping that in mind, along with my wedding colors of chocolate, copper, and burnt orange, what suggestions can you offer? Godiva Chocolate Truffles, they make them in a little golden box they put 4 on them. on a wedding I went people wanted to buy them from one an other, they were great and classy.

We had really pretty lolypops. We tied ribbon with our names and the date on them.

My nephew and his wife had plastic spoons in their wedding colors and each had a couple of hersey kisses in the spoon part…the whole thing was wrapped in tulle. A little note attached said, A spoonful of kisses from "their names". You can get fall kisses wrapped in your colors by the way.
You can also make cream cheese mints in any color that you like and have those in little boxes or simply in a dish on each table.
1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese
1/4 cup butter
1 large (2 pounds) package of confectioners’ sugar
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
red food coloring
more confectioners’ sugar
PREPARATION:
In a large saucepan over low heat, cook cream cheese and butter, stirring constantly, until smooth. ( or simply soften cream cheese in microwave, melt butter in microwave and mix well) Gradually stir in package of powdered sugar; stir in extract. Blend in food coloring, either uniformly, or divide mixture into two portions and leave half white.
You can add the coloring to the mints or color granulated sugar which you will roll the mints in.
Pinch off pieces of dough and roll into ball, then roll in granulated sugar and with a glass, flatten. You can also press the dough into heavy pliable candy molds. (NOT THE CLEAR KIND USED FOR CHOCOLATE). Once the molds are filled, gently turn over onto waxed paper and tap the candy pieces out. Either way, leave overnight to dry. Outside gets crusty and inside stays creamy. Store in airtight container until ready to use. (keep in fridge) or you can even freeze in airtight container until needed.
Another friend, got chinese take-out boxes (small) and filled them with Jelly Belly jelly beans. You could fill them with whatever is your favorite candy, cookie, etc.
Whatever you do - as Sandra Lee from the food network always says, "Keep it simple". Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

The favors at the last wedding I attended were beautiful little bags made of vellum paper (like used in scrapbooking) with a pretty scrollwork design, filled with either gourmet jellybeans, hand-rolled chocolate truffles or homemade shortbread cookies.

See’s Candies makes some great truffles. Purchase small decorative boxes to put each truffle in. Tie with decorative ribbon and enjoy!
I did this for a Christmas Wedding and used red and green boxes with ribbon that created its own bows. My guests felt like they were getting yummy little presents!

I had miniature Hershey’s wrapped with custom wrappers I ordered off E-Bay. They had our name and wedding date etc. Our colors were lavender and cream so I bought the dark chocolate kisses that were wrapped in purple. The candies and lavender flower petals looked very elegant. For each table I used a floral floating candle centerpiece. I did not have individual party favors. The tables looked great and I got a million compliments.
It was very inexpensive. Less than your budget.
