The Knot, Wedding Solutions, Brides.com are all great places for ideas. As for favors, check places like Orientaltrading.com, ebay, efavormart.com. There are so many choices. Even google bridal showers and I’m sure that would help give you some ideas!!!! Good luck!!!

The other posters have given you lots of great information on websites! I can’t add any good ones that aren’t already there. But, I can give you a few ideas!

First, don’t get overwhelmed with planning. It doesn’t have to be a big blow out - I like the KISS principle: "Keep It Simple Stupid." ;o) Simple is usually better!

Here’s an idea for you: I threw a bridal shower where it was a "tea party" theme. I made little sandwiches with the crusts cut off, tiny quiches and other little finger foods. We had little petite-four cakes as well as cheese cake (her favourite). I had different types of tea and borrowed lots of different nice China tea cups from family members and bought a few at a thrift store. I also asked the guests to bring a gift that’s JUST for the bride - so nothing for the kitchen or house! She got a purse, some lengerie, bath stuff, etc.

Don’t forget to bring along a paper plate! Make the bride stick (or staple) all the bows and ribbons from the gifts onto the bottom of the paper plate. Later, the bride uses this as her bouquet during the rehearsal!

For favours, go to a party shop. They often have huge wedding sections and you can find great cheap wedding-related favours there.

A really simple, cheap way to plan a wedding shower is to have an in-home party. It costs nothing (except refreshments, if you chose), you can get favors from the distributors for most companies… I do Slumber Parties (in home adult novelty parties) and they are SUPER famous for wedding showers and bachelorette parties. If you go to http://www.slumberparties.com, you can put in a request to get a distributor from your area to contact you and take your party. Any questions? E-mail me on this e-mail address!

    Good luck!!!
