They have fundraising prices and they offer apples with or without nuts. They are the classic caramel apple. And they come individually pre-packaged in a plastic container so it won't be messy.

I'd order some plain and some with nuts because there are people like me who love them with the nuts. (that is unless you know of anyone with a serious nut allergy there)

first of all, these are favors and i am pretty sure parents are smart enough to tell their kids that they can wait to get home to eat them!!! second, i am doing this too!!!! this is a link to a site i saw, also the cheapest one. yes they are expensive and i only need 65. i can't remember if they have just caramel, but take a look. also look at gourmet shops, there is one by my sister who lives closer to a big city (chicago) where you are most likely to find them, and they do the ones with the nuts and chocolate, but i am sure they can do just caramel, so i am also going to check prices there. otherwise, i will make them myself with my family and bridesmaids! they will be messy… maybe some soap to go along with them lol… but that sounds great! i love carmel apples… i think it would be cheaper to make them yourself… no need for shipping … and they would be fresher if you made them yourself… i hate when i get one and the stick is rotten… gross

I don't think so - like someone else said, older people (dentures?) won't be able to eat them, or anyone with braces may not, either. Kids will make a mess, and it may get all over everything, including clothes. I'd get something more simple. If I were at a wedding, I would not likely eat caramel apples while there.

go to any good fudge shop and ask them about ordering some, but, they are usually fairly expensive. cheaper to make your own if you have the time to do it!
if you want to make your own, you don't just pour melted caramel over the apples, the caramel should be melted in the top of a double boiler, the sticks inserted into the apples, then dip the apples one at a time into the caramel, once they are covered you simply lift them out and place them on waxed paper or well greased cookie sheets to set.
wrap them in cellophane and tie with ribbons in your wedding colors. you can make them a day or so ahead of time.
make sure you want to do this, its quite a bit of work to make a large quantity. they are messy but boy the sure are good!

My cousin did this. She actually bought them from a local candy shop. The ones that you can buy online are nearly as good.

I think it's a very yummy idea! Edible favors are always a hit. Have you seen this site yet? I know you're looking for plain caramel but maybe you could call them up and see if they do that also?

sorry, but i don't agree...of course it's your wedding and it sounds like you've already decided but older guests won't be able to eat them,kids will have them at the reception(what a mess on dress clothes)
