Ok, we are getting married next fall in the Napa/Sonoma, CA area. I really wanted a fall wedding. Our wedding is small (30 people) and we are also on a small budget. There will be 5 tables that need centerpieces. My colors are mocha and ??? I have yet to fully decide that. So I am completely open to suggestions. We are in a winery setting. I love fall colors and leaves.
We found alot of typical favors too but want something a little more unique that what you see at every single favor place online BUT still want to keep it at less than 3.00 each. I want to stay away from soap or anything people will not use or throw out when they get home.
Avoid fake flower centerpieces. Unless you drop serious money, they look very fake that close up.
Cheap Centerpiece Suggestions:
-A pumpkin with the table number painted on
-A bowl of red or green apples
-Candles

If you are on a tight budget, I would cut out centerpieces totally. They are frequently left behind and not at all required. If you absolutely must have them, ask if the winery will make you some mini-bottles for the occassion. Another idea is carmel apples: http://www.daffyapple.com/t-WeddingFavors.aspx

Mocha and …Burgundy! Picture your coffee in a mug that color.
Centerpieces could have mini pumpkins and artificial leaves with dark red grapes or berries. How about cornucopia baskets? Then it would be easier to move when it’s over. And they could use it for their Thanksgiving table, assuming you’d be giving them away.
This may be typical, but since it is a winery setting, how about those mini bottles of wine that can be personalized for you? You could tie some artificial grapes at the top of them to make them look more special.
How about a corkscrew with your wedding info on it? That’s probably a keeper.
Or a gift-in-a-jar decorated in your colors with a tag attached.
A wine glass for each person. You can find them pretty cheap and then have them personalized.
A Christmas ornament with your colors. You could buy them right after Christmas this year and personalize them. Add some colored leaves and ribbon to the top.

Mocha, green, wine, and gold would be gorgeous. For centerpieces how about a bouquet of wine colored roses and grapes. You could also spray paint pumpkins any color to match your theme and place them on the table as well. Work in odd numbers. It’s a great tip to make things look great. You need to stagger heights as well.
As far as the favors go, if you’re worried about the guests throwing it away, then do something edible. Gourmet wine flavored chocolates would be a great choice.
Good luck on your up coming marriage. I wish you all the happiness in the world.
