a good wedding favor is always something edible. No one needs cheesy tiny picture frames or candles. Everyone likes chocolate truffles!

I would go for something practical; something that you know everyone will appreciate. Take a look on this site, http://www.pwponline.com. They have a huge assortment of favors. I love these, http://www.pwponline.com/owl-always-love-you-scented-soap-.html

Anything edible is great! And I love when people do the monogramed M&M's and tie them up in the little bags.

A photomosaic poster would be a good idea for you.

Collect some photos you've taken during your 8 years relationship, they are your golden memorys. and we can use them to create a mosaic poster, the main image would be your wedding photo.

Here is a sample, I think you may like this idea. If you need any help on this kind of design, simply drop me an email.
