Danya, I have attended about 50 weddings in my life, and cannot remember what I was given as a favor. I remembered this when I got married last month, and we saved the money we were going to spend on favors, and put it towards something memorable for our guests-they thanked us for the wonderful food at the reception that included all you could eat crab legs. Don´t give favors-a lot of people don´t take theirs home anyway! My sister made homemade chocolate lollypops and some people didn´t even eat theirs-what a waste!

I didnt bother with them. I find them a waste of money. if you have a food favour then they get eaten at the wedding reception half the time and anything else usually gets tossed. who really wants to keep something with the bride and grooms name on it around the house? I know I wouldnt. and they can be expensive. I think the best wedding favour I’ve ever seen was a woman I worked with had a family member that made homemade wine coolers…like the size of an actual wine bottle and did labels with the bride and gooms name on it. that was his gift to them was doing all the favours and having some extra for the wedding to drink and stuff…those were nice and people enjoyed them, but not every one can afford something like that. I would say skip them and use the money towards wine and beer for the guests which I’m sure most would appreciate more.

Unless it is candy or food no one ever keeps the favor If a favor is something you want to do you can do one for about 25 bucks flat for about 60 +people.a 100 count spoons 1.99 to 2.50 a couple bags of kisses and some netting from a craft store and ribbon in wedding colors and a small card (you can make on computer or by hand). . Something als you can do is look in a mag and pick one and make your self. Most of the thing you see in books can be done cheapper by you. Invations by dawn is a site listed below will send you a free catolg and you can make most of them your self .
But if you dont have the time or mony then dont beacuse most of them get chucked on the way out the door.

do not have wedding favors…seriously, no one cares about favors. and you are completely right about "no favors" being better than "cheap favors"… i dont know of a single person who needs something else that will eventually end up in their junk drawer at home.
even if you wee only planning on spending 50-100 bucks, you can spend that money better on omething else.

I think favors area huge waste of money. Nobody really wants them, and they’re mostly either left behind at teh wedding or thrown in the trash at some later date.

there not necessary. some times there a way of thanking your
help like maid of honor and things like that. i would say if you want to give things out give like a……………………………………….little pen maybe. every one needs a pen!

Very unnecessary. I have not yet figured out why people have wedding favors. They get taken home and thrown away.

Ive gotten wedding favors… the last four are still sitting in a drawer. By the way, the last wedding I went to was a year and a half ago.
To me, its just one more thing to have to take home. They are cute, but not really worth it.

Our favors were inexpensive and FUN. We wrapped up M&Ms in our wedding colors in pieces of tulle and tied them with ribbon. The tulle and ribbon were in our wedding colors, as well. If you go to the M&M site, you can find out where to go to get M&Ms in about 100 different colors. For 100 guests, it cost us about $35.
