So long as you realize that most people won’t water it and will throw it away it’s fine. I say go for the edible favor that will be consumed at the reception…

I find it hard to believe someone has engineered a plant that has "love" on the leaf. So I would be reluctant to order such a thing. In addition, I really don’t think your guests are gonna care that much about it. Half of them probably won’t even take it home. And the other half won’t get it to grow.

If you have to do favors (and I think they’re unnecessary and a HUGE waste of money) stick with the tried and true — throw some personalized candy on the table.

Bad idea. You are giving your guests a project. I think a better way to go it to donate the money that you would have spent on favors to a charity. A lot of charities will send you braclets or some sort of token of your gift that you can put on the tables as favors. Or you can put a little postcard at each table setting telling people what the money went to. I have seen that at weddings and great no to have any crap to lug home. Most people leave their favors behind anyway.

Honestly, it’s not my favorite idea for a wedding favor. If someone gave that to me at a wedding, I’d probably give it to another guest or leave it behind.

We got these as a favor for my cousins shower, there was no word on the leaf. But my daughters loved doing them and watching them bloom on our counters and they thrived all summer long.

I have seen those, I think they are great. They are sweet, fun, unique and give someone something to look forward to after the wedding.

I think it is a nice idea I gave everyone a plant to to plant in honor of our wedding and people loved the idea in fact if I would have known about that plant I would have gotten that.

It is a cute idea, but I bet a lot of them get left at the tables or thrown away. I saw a sweet idea on line somewhere, it was recycled paper cut into heart shapes and embedded with real flower seeds, you plant the paper in the garden and it grows into real flowers. The papers also come in the shape of book marks as well.
