What do you think of Personalized artwork for wedding favors?

my fiance and i are very crafty, so i was thinking about buying artists trading cards, which are little miniature canvases, and putting them in a spin art machine and using our wedding colors to create individual pieces of artwork for our guests. What do you think? I know I would appreciate it at someone else’s wedding, but what does everyone else think?
It’s about 50 cents to a dollar for each canvas, unless you can find someplace that sells them in bulk. about $3-$10 for each bottle of paint, depending on the brand. we already have a paint spinner, but you can probably find them on ebay for really cheap.

I think this is a very good idea. I would love to get something like this as a wedding favor, since it is more personalized.

Maybe you could add a quote about love, friendship, family etc.. to the canvas after your paint has dries, to add a little touch. This way, people might be more compelled to find a place in their home to put your piece of art.

It will also be a lot of fun for you and your fiance to complete, which will take away from the stress that planning a wedding gives you.

This seems like such a better idea then a bamboo plant or bubbles and candy.

Sounds like a great idea. It sounds like a way better favor then i have gotten at other weddings. Not that they were not nice but this seems to be a lot more personalized.

    COOL!
doesn’t matter if you are artsy or not, I think. Depends how much time you put into making them and if you would be hella choked if someone didn’t like it?

I find that very sweet. Considering all the effort you’ll put into that. I myself is thinking of what souvenir might be nice (our wedding is on August).

It would be nice if you will create a logo effect on the canvass with your initials,

Wow, I think that that is the best idea I have ever heard of. Is it expensive to do as I am looking for something that is cheap and different for my wedding.

I think this is a great idea! A lot better than jellybeans, chocolates, Jordan Almonds, M&M’s, etc. This way they have something that is a real memento of the day that you took your time to make.

SOUNDS fun, BUT everyone’s idea of "art" is much different. Honestly I think you’re better off sticking to something more traditional. You would feel horrible if you saw a bunch in the trash on the way out! I’m artsy too, but I know not everyone would appreciate something like that. Stick to something edible…you can always hand paint little boxes.
