we do not want to spend money on wedding favors that people will just go home an throw away. (according to some posts on here) so we were thinking of chocolate Hershey bars with our names on it and some chocolate kisses. to cheap?
I think that’s one of the best things I have gotten as a favor. It will get eaten and its cute with the names on it. I think its better to keep wedding favors simple rather than go all out making things people will throw in the junk drawer.

you could also get m&ms with your names on them too, super cute. and no, not too cheap at all! chocolate is something that most everyone loves, so you can’t really go wrong.

Not at all. You should check out the m&m’s web site. You can put your names or what ever you want on them. And you can pick from several colors to match your wedding colors.

I think that is a great favor. Your right, anything else will be lost or thrown away. Give something everyone loves…candy!

Candy is the best idea! Who doesn’t love candy. People like to be reminded of their childhood (not to mention chocolate is the most romantic candy).
I suggest taking the candy bar idea one step further and use your favorite candy bars, (I like Crunch and he likes Baby Ruth). You can print out your own wrappers with your photo or a funny new name on it, our just call it your new last name. It can just be something that wraps around the old wrapper, it’ll save you money, it’s different, and people may even keep the wrappers.
Try it!

No- I think that’s perfect! I have been to quite a few wedding receptions, and it seems to me that the only favors that get appropriately appreciated are the edible ones. My mom just got back from a wedding in NY and she’s planning on just tossing all the little favors because she doesn’t know what to do with them- you don’t want your wedding favors to end up in someone’s trash can, do you? Stick with the Hershey bars, Kisses, and look into those personalized M&M’s at http://www.mym&ms.com.

Great idea! Who doesn’t love chocolate!!? I would certainly love receiving that as a favor.
We did personalized coffee bags that made one pot of coffee each. Spent $200 on all of them for 120 people…not too too bad and everyone loved them!
The company even has personalized honey jars, hot chocolate, alcoholic drink mixes and tea bags. It’s called "The Wedding Collection" and you can get them through magazines, internet and even eBay. (we got ours off of eBay and we had no problems!) Here are what they look like, but remember you can get them cheaper once you look online and compare prices. Good luck!!

I love when there are chocolate favors at the table! It gives you a little something to nibble on while you wait for the first course.

I think something edible would probably be better because most "keepsakes" end up just being tossed in a drawer anyway. The chocolate bar idea is really cute and you can personalize the wrappers, which is nice. I’m getting married next April and I’m going to have little 2×2x2 boxes with fortune cookies in them that have wedding themed messages and our date on the back. At http://www.fortunecookiestore.com I ordered 250 for less than $70 so they’re really reasonable. Good luck and I think you’re on the right track!

Nope. Sounds good to me. In fact i bet most people eat them by the time they get home.
