Has anyone ever used chocolate covered cherries for wedding favor?

I was thinking of using individually boxed chocolated covered cherries as a wedding favor. What do you think?

If you use these, check into getting Mon Cheri chocolate covered cherries from Germany-my husband, who is German, loves these.

Sounds delicious. Why not chocolate covered strawberries that are made to look like a bride and groom?

You could have the baker who is doing your cake to make these for you (my baker did and charged me about 60% off from the Shari’s Berries website).

Sounds good to me. Why not! It’s your wedding you can do whatever you want. I went to a vegan wedding this week and for the wedding cake they used strawberry shortcake!

No. There will be some joker that will say something about your cherry being chocolate covered. Don’t do it. Stay away from that. Think of something else.

    Sounds yummy to me!

And for practical reasons….those would keep better than chocolate covered strawberries too. Easier to transport and present to your guests.

I love chocolate covered cherries but I think having cherries for a wedding is just asking for someone to make a comment or joke about "your cherry." I would stay away! Also, if they’re not fresh, they tend to be just cherry-flavoured goo in the middle of a chocolate ball. Most people don’t like these.

I would suggest chocolate covered strawberries instead. Just watch out because they melt! You have to keep them in the fridge right up until the time your guests start entering the reception hall.
