I’m doing a candy buffet and have found all of the vases/bowls on clearance. The biggest expense will definitely be the candy to fill them but at the end of it, I will have paid less than $1 per person for the favors.

It’s hard to suggest actual favours without knowing your colour scheme or if you have a theme or not. But I found this great site with really inexpensive favours that can be customized. They have tons of selection, and lots under $1 per favour.

anything you can eat is usually the best because while they don’t last long, they often don’t go to waste either. some people think theyneed to give a favour that will last or that have their name engraved all over it when really, people don’t need that stuff. It usually gets left behind or taken home and shoved in a drawer or thrown out. I remember a few months back someone asked about these little pea shaped salt and pepper shakers "two peas in a pod" and she got told they would be such a waste of money because they were so small and unpractical. I would definitely go with a favourite candy or chocolate or something like that.

what about burning CD’s with songs from the wedding, or songs that remind you and your fiance of each other. I saw this at as wedding and loved it. You can print of lovely labels at home and do it all there.

There are so many different things you could do. The easiest would be candy or almonds or something wrapped up, but why don’t you go to http://www.theknot.com and check out their favors section. You could also just google on "cheap wedding favors" and you’ll get a lot of different ideas. Here are a couple sites you can check out too…

Cheap and great do not go together.

If it’s cheap then guess what..it will look cheap.

If you are buying favors from the dollar store just keep your buck and pass on favors all together.

I would rather receive no favor than something cheap that I’ll wind up tossing anyway.

The only inexpensive favor would be to make something edible.

Well, do you and your future spouse have a hobby you like/share? Are you having a theme wedding? Or a destination wedding? Try and find something that ties these things together… When is your wedding? Is it near a holiday?

*A cheap wedding favor is a spoon (plastic) with two hershey kisses and a note attached here’s two kisses from the MR/MRS….

*We got married in Las Vegas so as favors/decorations we used chocolate coins in toille/ribbon.. And left decks of used las vegas playing cards as favors.. Total cost was $150 for $200 people..
