I am trying to think of a cute sign or way to display them - a short poem or saying to attach to the basket? I did not want to put "Children’s Favors" or something boring like that.
The basket will include tic-tac-toe packets, personalized wedding pencils with bells on the top, and small sheer bags with a tiny decks of cards, and small heart mazes.
Any thoughts?!! Thanks!

put them in a basket and label the basket the next best thing to wedding cake

if it were me, i’d put the basket next to a shorter tree, and say "you must be shorter than this tree to take a favor from this basket"
but you’re not me (good thing too, because one of me is more than enough)
maybe something like "fun for kids" or "just for the little ones"
i’d also put it at a lower level than the adult favors - that will set it apart as being different, and would give kids the opportunity to pick the one they want without having to peer over the edge of the basket or be lifted up by a parent.

Dear one, This is a wedding - not a birthday party. Just because they’re children, doesn’t mean you have to jump through hoops for them. Most "adult" wedding favors are cookies or small bags of candy etc. anyway - which are fine for children too.
Remember, it is important that children learn that the world does not revolve around them. Sometimes they have to take a back seat to someone else - it’s called manners. Taking turns of course, and is a valuable skill.
However, if you are hell-bent for leather to coddle these kids, how about just putting a nice gift tag with the child’s name on it and attach them to the favors? Surly you’re not having more than just a few children attend your reception.

I think its a Great idea. That way they are entertained. If you entertain them they will be less likely to cause an issue or carry on. I would place them by the door you come in or in plain sight with a sign " For Our Little Guests" or "Sheer Fun From Mr. & Mrs." Just make sure if you have older children you don’t offend. And yeah you might want to label it if your smaller then this " " because believe it or not you may have some adults in your fun basket. Great idea
