I’m not talking about your ideas for them if you are a bride. I’d rather have your responses as recipients of a wedding favor.
We gave bottles of wine from my family’s vineyard. That was my favorite favor!
EDIT: We had bottles with jelly beans or M&Ms for those who don’t drink. But you did say what was OUR favorite…!

i liked the bottles of wine with the couples names on it. it was from a local vineyard and was pretty good too

The only favor I haven’t quickly "ditched" is a deck of cards with the couple’s photo on all the backs. It’s not so much that I want some sort of keepseek; I just like to play cards and it was easy to tuck into my pocket and carry home. The worst was a little potted tree that I was supposed to take home and plant. What a mess. My honest preference would be no favor at all, so that I don’t have to pretend to be delighted with the worse than useless junk.

We received wine glasses at a wedding I attended this past summer. They were purple (my favorite color). We’ve only used them once because I’m afraid I’ll break them.

Cut-out cookies in the shape of the first letter of their last name. They were wrapped in clear cellophane bags with ribbon. They were cute and tasty and I don’t think anyone left them behind.
As someone who doesn’t drink, a bottle of wine or wine glasses would come in on my least favorite list.

I was given a small utility knife with various other tools, kind of like a miniature leatherman. It came in handy many times over the years, especially the built-in scissors!

My favorite absolute was a leaf shaped bookmark (fall themed wedding). I actually USE it!!
I loved the IDEA of the maple syrup at another wedding, but when my fiance & I went to use it (a very short time after the wedding - so it hadn’t been sitting around) - - it was so awful tasting and got tossed out in the trash ASAP. If it had tasted good, it would have beaten the bookmark as my favorite.
Edible or consumeable favors are nice so long as they are things I can actually eat/drink. I am allergic to wine and nuts so I’ve only been able to eat the plain chocolates.
I thought the heart-shaped crystal wine bottle topper was absolutely useless.
The heart-shaped coasters were a cute idea, but truthfully, they are still sitting on a shelf with the pretty bow wrapped around them - - so I still haven’t used those and that wedding was nearly 2 years ago.

Large hand decorated sugar cookies. They looked so pretty on the table during the reception and tasted great during the late night ride home. It was very different but friends gave out a copy of their favorite paperback book with a personalized bookmark inside.

I like food favours best, because then you don’t feel obligated to keep a little trinket, etc. Most of the weddings I’ve been to the couple gives mints, personalize M&M’s or chocolates, etc.
One nice non-food item I got was the last wedding I attending, the couple gave each guest two nice stone coasters with words all over them in brown fonts, ("love", "family", etc). The couples colours were light purple and brown, so they matched the tables and were wrapped with brown ribbon. Their names and date are on the bottom of them, so it’s not obvious they were a wedding favour with them sitting on our coffee table. They are pretty nice, we replaced our old ones with these ones because the dark brown and cream matches our living room. Then only down-side I would say is that they only gave 2 each, so single guests would only have two, and usually it’s nice to have a "full" set, which is 4. But since both my fiance and I attended we each got two so it worked. Also, they were really heavy to cart around in my handbag all night after the dancing started and we "abandoned" our table. It would have been nicer to have them at the door for people to take when they left, just because they are kind of heavy.
I hope that helps
Best Wishes!

The last wedding I was a guest at was about a month ago and the couple had these really adorable packages of cookie and bread mixes that came personalized with their names and wedding date on them. This is on the lines of what they resembled, http://www.planningpad.com/eb2041.html It was so unique and so practical! I’m actually waiting for the next free night I have to bake the cookies. I’m sure they are delicious!

Honestly, I prefer not to get one at all. Save your money, or donate it to a charity. Nobody (except you) wants crap laying around their house with your name and wedding date on it.
