ok, me and my husband are already married but we want to have our marriage renewed. how can we go about doing that and not spend a whole lot of money. remember we are married so we don’t need a big wedding. we are getting married in a park. gordan moore in illinois. so if anyone has any ideas on how to go about doing this please help us. like the reception ideas and wedding favors.
Depending on the amount of people you are having you could consider having the reception at your home (if your home is not large enough then a friend/relatives home). This would save you some money and you could make it a very warm/close celebration. If you don’t mind spending some money, other options would be having it at a hall. If you know someone, or live in a condo they usually have a "party room" which costs very little and is designed around entertaining.
Depending on the amount of people you have you could consider doing the following:
o Having the reception in your home or at a friends home if yours is not large enough.
o Most condos/townhouse/apartments have a "party room" and are usually very classy and inexpensive.
o Depending on the type of celebration you are having after, you can have friends/family/yourself make the food which saves having it catered
o For photos you can hire a young photographer fresh out of school or starting out . . . they do not charge a lot and they usually do a good job . .if your unsure have them provide a portfolio
o Depending on the amount of people you have and if you want, you can scrap the whole reception and go to a nice restaurant. Saves on the clean up.
o For wedding favors you can usually find a decent shop that does engraving which typically has inexpensive items, and of good quality. Things like lighters, pocket watches, key chains, pens, etc. with your name and date engraved into them.
Hope you find this helpful. Congrats and Best of Luck!

Keep it Simple - simple dress (no need for a wedding gown, no tux), no attendants, have an afternoon ceremony and serve finger sandiwches, etc…
No need for a fancy reception either, remember this is an anniversary celebration!
