What are some unique, do-it-yourself wedding favor ideas?

We are getting married in September and we’d like to have something that has our name and wedding date on it that we could give to the attendants. I went to a wedding of one of my good friends and they had magnets made from bottle caps so that’s out because I want something different. Any ideas or websites with ideas or anything would be much appreciated! I’m willing to put a lot of time and work into this project so ANY ideas you have would be helpful!

maybe some personalized CD’s with songs the couple likes..you can go to kinko’s and make copies of a photo and place it in the front.

I like the idea of buying a cookie cutter and attaching your favorite homemade cookie recipe to the cookie cutter with ribbon within the colour scheme of the wedding

it’s not necessarily do it yourself, but I attended a wedding in which this was done and I thought it was a great idea.

have generic bottles of water labeled with custom labels detailing the date, the color scheme, and a picture of the couple if you so decide. it’s a thoughtful favor for those who might become dehydrated from dancing or drinking alcohol, and it’s cheap enough to keep a few around so that guests can take them home as keepsakes.

I heard this idea before I saw it incorporated into the table setting and thought it sounded tacky, but it looked really nice, not at all distracting.

what i plan on doing for my wedding next year is composing a CD of all the songs my fiance and I love and customizing the jewel case and the CD label itself. it’s a gift that will definitely get a lot of use after the event.

best wishes! I hope this helps!

We are buying a ton of chapstick and printing out small pieces of paper with our date and place on them, we are going to remove the original logo on then and replace it with ours, and on the top of the lid we are putting our symbol. It is different and not too expensive!

I like the cake boxes so that guests can take home pieces of cake…..gets rid of too much cake too
