For my upcoming wedding we did donations to our three favorite charities. You could do just one or what ever you would like. We made our donation in honor of our wedding and in rememberance of those who will not be present on our wedding day. With the donation, we can choose to either get a scroll, a card or sometimes some other form of a paper favor. We put ours in envelopes that i decorated and they will be set at each place setting. We just added the decorated envelope because those are our only favors. For you since you have the candies and bags you might want to opt for a scroll. to place next to the bags at each place setting.

Here are some great places that do wedding favor donations:
www.diabetes.org
www.idfoundation.org
www.americancncersociety.org
http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=donate_othergiving
OR you can also check your local charities like childrens hospitals, humane society, cancer research centers, etc.

Good luck!
References :
The Kisses will be enough.

I wouldn't spend your valuable time or resources on non-edible favors. Chances are most of the guests will leave them anyway. No one needs more "stuff".

Let them take home memories of the day instead.
References :
Can't remember the last ten wedding favors I got.

the best wedding favor i ever got was a pic of the bride and groom, a mini one of the one we signed at the guest book. if you can, you can have the pic in black and white, with something accent in red. that always looks nice. :)
References :
I don't want to tell you how to spend your money but from a guests standpoint I don't WANT anything that's non-edible. Usually speaking it's not going to go with my home or even worse will have something "wedding" on it and will get tossed or left behind. I don't want to be offensive but I really have reason to want to remember YOUR wedding for the rest of my life. If I do, thats what pictures are for. I want to remember that I had a great time with good food and awesome people, not that I got a engraved picture frame or a candle.

Use the money to upgrade something like the food, bar, or the music. That's what I'll remember. I appreciate the bride and groom are appreciative that I came but just stop with the dust bunny collectors.
References :
Friends of ours make homemade wine, so they gave a bottle of wine with special labels they had printed up with the couple's picture and names and the wedding date. I like the idea of something useful that will remind your guests of you each time they use it, but that also reflects your and your fiance's interests. Like an engraved corkscrew if you're wine people, or a cake server if you're into baking, or embroidered lawn chairs if you're into camping. A CD of songs that you both like? You could burn those yourselves. How about a CD of pictures of you both growing up? It can be on a PowerPoint program so it scrolls through with music playing. Good luck, and congratulations.
References :
Even though you've said you've looked all over the internet I found this site, that I thought was great!

http://www.myweddingfavors.com/

Thoough some of my own ideas. If you got professional photos done of you and your fiance`, then get small one made, then put them into color cordinated frames (like the colors to match your flowers or color scheme) then attach a fake fall leaf to one of the cornors and write or print out something that says " Sally Sue an Johnny Boy celebrated the union of holy matramony on September, 56th 2008" or something with obviously the right information. But check out that site. It's a great site with the perfect thing somewhere on there, escpecially for such a small wedding. The prices are great too. Good Luck Hun, and congrats on the wedding!!
References :
I packaged tulip bulbs in clear, candy bags and tied them up with a pretty ribbon. Guests plant them when they go home (before the first frost) and they have a reminder of your wedding in the spring! You can get a bag of assorted bulbs at Sam's Club for $10 and the bags at any craft store for a couple of dollars.
References :
Why don't you try Michael's or Pier One? They sometimes have nice things that are not that expensive that would make great favors for a wedding. Cute mugs with your pictures, or a nice picture frame with your engagement/wedding photo. Since the wedding is small, the favors can afford to be more than little plastic knick=knacks that people throw away. I would suggest the frames, since they give a more personal touch to the favor.
References :
I'm a certified professional bridal consultant with Elegant Events International.
