Wedding Favor Ideas That Everyone Will Like?

The theme for my wedding is roses. Im trying to figure out what to give as favors. Ive seen rose candles and rose soaps that I think are cute but some of the guests at the wedding are single bachelors who have no need for little rose shaped soaps. Any ideas for some favors that are a little more unisex? (NO LITTLE BAGS OF CANDY!)

Edibles are best. Anything else will be left behind or thrown in the trash. Favors are never required anyway and most people will not miss them if they are not there.

How about fortune cookies? They sell them in packages that are shaped like roses for like ten cents each!

    Good luck!

Small disposable cameras. Most people like taking pictures of themselves and friends, the plus side, it that they can make copies and send them to you and your groom.

I think it’s going to be tough choosing a favor that makes EVERYONE happy, especially with a specific theme like roses. We choose mini bottles of champagne that came out really nice, but not everyone drinks. We also considered these plantable cards that have seeds woven into the paper, which are really nice. However, not everyone gardens. Don’t be too concerned with everyone liking your favor - I think for the most part favors get tossed aside as soon as the guests get home.

see if you can find a candy or sucker mold that is roses. They are both easy to make yourself, very cost effective, and although it may look a little feminine when your done tying on ribbons and such, even bachelors will eat chocolate or a sucker.
If you can find green sucker sticks, that would be like making little mini-roses.

A wedding I was at had a "candy bar". They had small containers for the candy. It seemed like it went over really well and it looked nice, not tacky at all.
Went to a wedding a week later and no favors…no big deal to me.

You can make an oragami rose (some patterns you can look online that look really cool!) and put either candy (I know you said no, but everyone likes candy, and you put in the rose so its really cool), or a candle or something (dont light it though since its near the paper). You will have decorated the tables with really cool, pretty orgamie roses, and people can take them home and enjoy whats in them too.

ummmmmm………to be honest with you I’d do something more along the lines of Rose shaped candles for the girls, then do somthing more along the lines of smothing a little less femine for the straight guys at the wedding such as fortune cookies and then if there are any homosexual guys rose candles………..i guess thats a really tough question to answer but hey i gave it my best shot i mean its all cheap so i guess i really don’t know what else to tell you……… good luck with the wedding and your future and i hope you find the answer that your looking for…… good luck again and congradulations……

The rose theme for guys can be pulled off but you are going to have to get male specific favors. Get some that can be easily engraved. That way you stay true to the rose theme but give it a masculine touch.
Here is a site with some gift ideas that can help.

How about a customizable wedding gift. There is a site called Justbyjulie Brides they do a range of wedding favors from coffee mugs to bookmarks all of which are customizable with the wedding details.

On their website http://www.zazzle.com/justbyjulie they have a selection of designs, including roses, but they will also make customized gifts to suit your theme. All you have to do is contact them through their website.

    Hope this helps

I’ve seen those rose candles and soap favors, which I agree with you, I think they are cute, but will all the guests enjoy them, especially the single guys, probably not. I came across these really cute bottle opener and stopper set, http://www.planningpad.com/11005na.html, that I think is so adorable. I’m not sure many guests you are considering or a budget you have in mind, but these could get pricey if you expect a larger group of guests. For a few less dollars, these bottle openers are really practical and the heart embellishment is a nice touch, http://www.planningpad.com/11003na.html.

I’ve come to the conclusion that you really aren’t going to be able to please them all, but you can at least try, right? I think spending a few more bucks on a practical gift that your guests will actually use is much better than skimping on a cheesy favor that absolutely no one will use.

Hope this helps, and by the way, congratulations!
