Do you prefer :
a) a personalized token from the bride and groom ( votive candle, or photo frame)
b) something edible- eg. chocolates or Mini cheesecake
c) You think they are both a waste of time and money
I went to a wedding where everyone received a disposable camera to take photos with.
I think that’s a good idea, because then everyone gets to have memories of the wedding
Another good idea I saw was when one of friends got married, they gave everyone a bottle of wine with a personalized label on it! It’s combination personalized item, and edible item.
The Wine Lable had their picture, date of wedding, and type of wine. I thought that a pretty cool idea, and I might do that when I get married.

I would prefer a six pack of my favorite beer.

No one wants a personalized token because it is cheesy, and ends up being thrown away. It is basically a waste of resources. I vote for Chocolates, or mini cheesecake.

anything personalized is STUPID…. I will not keep it…. I will not use it.
Something useful (mittens/scarfs in winter, sunburn soother at an outdoor wedding) is always great, but pictures/magnets are done…. SIMPLE IS THE WAY TO GO…. people will appreciate it more, and it is WAY cheaper

personalized token are only nice in theory. They are usually junk I have no use for but feel bad about throwing away so I have to store them.

I don’t want candy, I don’t necessarily want something with your name on it, but I don’t think favors are a waste of time. I prefer something with some longevity that I will use and remember the couple.
Check out http://www.catalinacollectibles.com. They have wine bottle stoppers, salt and pepper shakers, drink coasters…all kinds of practical favors that your guests will use.

i like something edible and also something that i can reuse — that doesn’t have to get tossed after the party. for example, i recently got as a favor jelly beans in a mini candy bin! so cute! and I still use the candy bin — i keep it on my desk filled with my favorite candy to munch on! you can get them at this place:
