What kind of candy should I use for my wedding favors?

I purchased some clear plastic cones (6" long with a 1 1/2" diameter) to give as wedding favors, the problem is that I will have 300 guests, therefore 300 wedding favors need to be done, however I cant decide what kind of candy to use to fill them out since I will need a lot cause the cones are not that small I will need a lot of candy, I was planning to put 5 Jordan Almonds because of the meaning, but I think to fill out the cone I would need like 10 to 15 Jordan almonds.Does anybody know where I can purchase candy at a “good” price to, I need A LOT? And what candy would be better? Chocolate, whatever…please help, 3 months till my wedding!

You could fill the bottoms half of the cones with the almonds and then stick lollipops in the top, you can either do fruit flavored lollipops or you can go to Sess Candy and get the Chocolate, Carmel ones.

This way you don’t have to fill the cones ALL THE WAY ( and will cost the cost a little bit) and will give the guests a variety of candies.

You could also go to Costco, Smart & Final and Sams Club, pick up some wrapped chocolates like Hershey’s Chocolates, they also come in different flavors now.

Jelly Bellys can also be bought in Bulk.

Buy some of those huge bags of Hershey’s kisses. If that’s too plain, you can get the caramel or white chocolate ones or some such. As a local retailer where they buy them in bulk.

Check out http://www.bulkfoods.com They have all kinds of stuff for really great prices.

One of the things they have there that might work well are the Sweet Stripes Mint Puffs. They are red and white striped so they’re pretty and they taste really good. They are kind of soft, like traditional wedding butter mints, but they are much bigger and individually wrapped, so they’d fill up your big cones quicker. Everyone I know loves them and they’re only $13.72 for 5 lbs.

They also have white heart mints and various kinds of wrapped chocolates and lollipops and candies, including jordan almonds.

My fiancee and I are going to use conversation hearts, like what you’d get on Valentine’s Day. They are $6.75/lb at theknot.com plus shipping. We thought they’d be cute and fun. Good luck with your wedding!

    SO,……NOVEMBER IS THE DATE???
TRY A FALL THEME,…CANDY CORN, TOOTSIE ROLLS (BROWN WRAPPER), AND CARMEL HERSHEY’S KISSES (GOLD & BROWN).

ANOTHER IDEA IS TO BUY SOME CANDY MOLDS. YOU CAN MOLD CHOCOLATE CANDIES. BUY WHITE CHOCOLATE AND USE FOOD COLORING TO MATCH YOUR WEDDING COLORS. YOU CAN BUY SEVERAL DIFFERENT MOLD TYPES AND USE THE DIFFERENT COLORS OF YOUR WEDDING. THAT WOULD BE A PERSONAL TOUCH. MOLDING CANDY IS EASY. YOU CAN BUY MOLDS THAT HOLD UP TO 50 PIECES. IN NO TIME AT ALL YOU COULD FILL ALL 300.

THE JORDAN ALMONDS IS A GREAT IDEA TOO :)
