How do I get more traffic and customers to my online wedding and party favor store?

My sister and I just started an online wedding and party favor store. We have had over 7000 hits and only 2 orders. What do we need to do? How can we improve the site and/or reach more BUYING customers.

For some construtive criticism….your site is kinda of boring…it doesn’t hold the viewers attention….and can kinda explain why you’ve gotten a lot of hits but no fish. In today’s competitive short span era; consumers must be given bait to keep them interested. This might work for a farm in Iowa…but I’m from NYC and sites like this get no play.

Navigational wise your website is pretty straightforward. What you need to work on is that logo of yours…it’s a bit confusing (a logo should define and set the tone for your site) and isn’t the most eye grabbing….plus your site needs an upgrade (particularly b/c it’s an e-commerce site)…customers don’t really trust their credit cards with home made looking sites…plus your e-mail contact is a dot yahoo…(cruisenfavor@yahoo…c’mon?) which comes off as really unprofessional…

On a lighter note…all new busineses make mistakes…your site can and should be edited…it needs sharper focus, more pizazz…and a more professional image…something that will make it "pop"…

for now…it comparitvely looks ho hum and safe….

Even if you’re offering a great product at a great price…an online company must give off the feeling of a trusted source…

To be in business you’ve got to have a thick skin…so if your’e looking for rosy advice…please disregard…but trust… lots of people would pay for advice like this. It’s called honesty. Plus I’m a new entreprenuer as well and I would hope that someone would be just as honest with me.

Hope this helps..

Sell something that people need and can SAVE money on, who wants to buy overpriced items on the internet. Reality check, WEB 1.0 was over years ago.

There is a way to bring targeted traffic (pre-sold) to your site…eMail for the link. I’ll be glad to send it along.
