i’m doing a project for my Todays Living class and part of it is planning a bridal shower. are you suppose to give out favors at the bridal shower or is that just for the wedding?

as with almost everything in today’s weddings - bridal shower favours are something the industry has dreamt up in an effort to get brides and their family and friends to spend even more money than ever.
favours for bridal showers are a new idea that has only become ‘a thing’ over the past year or so.
so no favours at bridal showers are not traditional.
instead of favours for wedding guests many brides are using that money to make a donation to their favourite charity in honor of their wedding! they then announce that at the wedding reception!
also several weddings we’ve been to lately have had a table with little bells on it - you make a donation to their charity, they give you a bell and everytime you want the happy couple to kiss you ring the bell!
all these dollars add up quite nicely and charities are so grateful for every single one of the.

I don’t think you are suppose to give a favor at a bridal shower. I would look that up online though just to be sure. I don’t think its expected. I think the favor is only at the wedding reception.

yup… my friend did rags in a little basket with with the small size bath and body works bottle… the rags were the colors of the bridal party….
