Anyone had candy apples as your wedding favor, and were they a hit?

If so, what company did you get yours through, and did you get yours at less than $4 for each one. Better yet, did you get a good deal on them, because paying for wedding favors at all is not looking appealing to me right now.

No but, that sounds really yummy!!

I would contact like Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory if you have one nearby and see if they will cut you a deal.

That's the only place I can think of that has that type of thing.

Or maybe a Walmart bakery!

Mrs. Prindables. Try QVC.com they carry her products and if your wedding is not that big it can be very affordable.

I have never been to a wedding with that sort of wedding favor but I think it's a great idea! It depends how traditional you and your guests are, but I think it's very unique…and who doesn't like candy apples?! But if your guests are very traditional, there may be some grumbling unfortunately. But I see wedding favors that just sit in a cabinet somewhere and collect dust and what's the point in that? I think this is a much better idea.

I think candy apples would be a great favor. I don' t know where you can get them but maybe you can have your bridesmaids and family help you make them if there aren't too many.

What a great idea!! I didn't have them at my wedding, but if I had thought of that, I would have. Very in-expensive too! You may want to go around to some local orchards and see if they would cut you a deal on the apples since you would be buying them in bulk.

Wegmans carries kits to do them yourself.I think each package makes 6, but I could be wrong. If you don;t have a wegman's I think they can be ordered from them online. If your wedding is in the fall, the kits will be cheaper and as will apples. I think thats an ADORABLE idea, and I totally want one!

Our local bakery sells them for like 2.75 each.

If you can't afford favors, you can imply omit them. They are optional.

I think they are great in theory, but I would most definitely throw this one in the trash. I like my teeth and I like my husband and kids to also have their teeth, not to mention the incredible mess that goes along with a candy apple. They would probably look very good on a table, but I dont know many people that would actually eat them.
