HELP… need personalized wedding favors on a TINY budget?

I'm getting married in less than 3 months and I really need to find a wedding favor that will blend with my wedding. The main theme of the wedding is watermelon pink & ivory. The bridesmaids dresses are pink, centerpieces and flowers are pink, linens are pink & ivory…

i don't want food… i want it to be something they can keep.

i was looking at personalized seed packets, but they need to be inexpensive and i want pink or ivory flowers.

also

i found this wedding/love story that i thought about printing on ivory paper and rolling it up (like a scroll) and tying it with pink ribbon.

any other ideas like these two would be great.
thanks!

To go with your seed packet idea. Buy packets of flower seeds, they are normally pretty cheap. Don't get a whole packet per person, seperate the seeds and make a sachet out of pink or ivory tolle. Use the alternate color to tie them. Place a small piece of paper with a few seeds in them with you and your spouses names and the date of the wedding thanking them for sharing your day and being there as your love grows like the flowers. This way you are sharing the seeds from one packet with many people.

Hope that this helps.

Burn CDs of you and your fiances favorite love songs and put your engagement pic as the CD cover. All you need is blank CDs and labels. Very economical.

We are not doing favors because we feel people don't really treasure them. They normally get left behind or tossed in the trash.

BUT if you just MUST have something then I would go with something like the scroll you had suggested. You can make these yourself at kinkos or on your home computer.

you can create your own labels on the computer and stick them on the seed packets, so they dont cost as much as personalized seed packets

I went to a flower themed wedding once, and the bride went to hobby lobby or somewhere and got a bunch of little mini clay flower pots and painted the guests name (doubled for placecards) and flower on them. She put candy in here but if you wanted you could put like the silk flower petals in them and that could double as something to throw other than rice.

i love sharing idea's so keep in mind they are idea's some might be off the wall some may only help you think of another idea!!!

I'm with you no food! something they can keep!
it may be work but make candles!!! and they have candle markers that you can personalize each one… and if you get the right molds you can have it in a shape you want!
    and that's cheap!

there is an envelope style of folding paper and you can put some few nice words on it

    i once received wine stoppers..

We got a set of bottle stopper and cork screw … had a double heart at the top, which matched our invites!

They cost us $1.67 each, we needed 60 of them (one each couple)

THEN i also had a personalized napkin which also had the double heart, an then our names and date.

The napkins costed like $67 for a box of 100

Instead of birdseed we are doing bubbles…so I added ribbon to the bubbles so that they are personalized and are going to double as wedding favors. From experience people either toss the favors in the trash or leave them on their table, so instead of wasting money on something people don't necessarily want, we decided to just use the bubbles.

We bought 3 x 3 inch celophane pouches and filled them with our favorite cookie.

We bought labels at myweddinglabels.com with our names on them and a thank you message to our guests.

CD's would be great. Esp if it a wide genre of music.

We ordered the wrappers for candy bars from rex-craft.com. They were great - but most folks didn't take one home. I had to pass them out around work b/c I had so many left over. Don't put to much of an emphasis on favors. They are wayyy over rated.

Instead of doing favors, donate money to your favorite charity instead and give guests a card reading 'in your honor we have made a donation to blah blah charity' or something like that. This way you are helping people who need and your money isn't wasted on something people will throw away.
